The work is devoted to the study of the interaction of various branches of law for the
penetration of the principles of one branch into others. The main historical periods of
development of the civil procedural legislation in which such penetration occurred especially
distinctly are allocated. In the article, the author considers the need to highlight the principle
of good faith in civil procedural law. This necessity was a consequence of the development of
this principle in civil law. It is noted that the beginning of the study of conscientiousness was
laid within the framework of pre-revolutionary Russian civil law. The author highlights the
main features of the principle of good faith in civil law. It is emphasized that this principle
in civil procedural law, although it has the same name with the principle of good faith in
civil law, but has its own specifics. The basis of good faith as a principle of civil procedural
law is, according to the author, in the norms of Article 35 of the Civil Procedure Code.
This principle has received its consolidation in other articles of the same Code, which gives
the author the right to assert its semantic consolidation in the norms of civil procedural
legislation. The author analyzes the law enforcement practice that confirms the application
of the principle of good faith by courts. At the end of the study, the author deduces his
definition of the principle of good faith of civil procedural law.
