In this article, the authors consider some aspects of the development of the judicial system of
the Russian Federation. The key trajectory under consideration is the digitalization of both
public relations as a whole and the follow-up of the administration of justice to the latest
trends in the digital economy. Thus, the authors attempted to predict the dynamics of the level
of judicial protection in civil cases in the current political and socio-economic situation. In
particular, statistics are reviewed and evaluated by the courts of various types that consider
civil disputes, in the broad sense, as courts of first instance. Among other things, this study
attempts to assess the impact of the 2019 judicial reform on the dynamics of the administration
of justice, as well as other external factors affecting the formulation of this statistical forecast.
The authors single out the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) as
one of these factors. In conclusion, the authors offer further ways of developing the judicial
system in the context of integrating digitalization processes in all spheres of public life, the
development of the digital economy and the implementation of various national programs
aimed at increasing the availability of information and telecommunication technologies, as
well as increasing the availability of applications for judicial protection.

Keywords: judicial system; administration of justice; digitalization; access to justice; civil
