RECOGNITION AND ENFORCEMENT OF FOREIGN JUDGMENTS
IN THE EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION

The article provides an overview of the current international legal regime for the recognition
and enforcement of foreign judgments in the rule of law of the EAEU member states, as
well as some features of the national regimes for recognition and enforcement of foreign
judgments. The article discusses and compares the various systems of recognition of foreign
judicial acts. An analysis of existing multilateral agreements is carried out, on the basis of
which recognition and enforcement is carried out, namely: the Kiev Agreement, the Minsk
Convention, the Moscow Agreement, the Chisinau Convention. Some features of the national
regulation of the institution of recognition and enforcement in law and order of the EAEU
member states are considered. The thesis about the contradictory and outdated nature
of the international legal regime, which does not meet the goals of the modern degree of
integration of states in the EAEU format, is substantiated. The authors draw conclusions
that the institution of recognition and execution of court decisions serves as a starting point
for the integration process, however as a result of creating different content mechanisms for
the recognition and enforcement of court decisions in a number of multilateral agreements
of the EAEU member countries was never developed.
