The article deals with issues of delineation of concepts «fast track procedure», «summary procedure», «curtailed procedure». Acceleration of proceedings has the purpose to shorten the length of the consideration of the case, and this problem is relevant for the procedural systems of majority countries in the world. The mechanism for the protection of violated and challenged rights, according to A. Zukerman’s observation, is based on a different combination of three factors: striving for a fair judicial decision, reducing the duration of proceedings and reducing the cost of court costs. The ideal implementation of legal proceedings is the combination of all three factors, since, for example, a quick, but wrong (unjust) judgment is not valuable. The purpose of the article is to resolve the issue of delineating procedural procedures «fast track procedure», «summary procedure», as well as «curtailed procedure» among themselves. The author examines various doctrinal sources concerning this issue, gives examples and directions for the implementation of simplification of proceedings, the classification of types of proceedings in civil procedure and their advantages and disadvantages; based on his own vision, the author derives the concept of summary procedure. An interesting addition to the article is the author’s table of classification of types of proceedings.
