The journal “Herald of Civil Procedure” annually gather outstanding scientists and
practitioners in the field of civil procedure for the Symposium held by journal editors in
Kazan, Russia. The Symposium of the journal has been organized for 5 years now and it has
become a real tradition, it has found annual participants, friends and listeners. The event is
also a created platform for large-scale discussion at the highest level. In 2018, the V Annual
Symposium of the journal was devoted not only to civil and arbitration proceedings, but
also to certain aspects of substantive law, including civil law, as it was devoted to issues
of evidence. This idea allowed organizers to invite scholars and legal practitioners, as
well as experts and experts in the sphere of the law of evidence for participation in this
event. Bright contribution to the Symposium of 2018 was made by: Irina Reshetnikova
(Yekaterinburg), Elena Borisova (Moscow), Lidiya Terekhova (Omsk), Andrey Yudin
(Samara), Vladimir Koval (Sevastopol), Elena Nosyreva (Voronezh), Mikhail Schwartz
(St. Petersburg) and representatives of other law schools, practicing lawyers, and scholars
of Kazan Federal University.
