In the article an overview of actual trends of development of civil procedure in the European Union is given. One of the most important is unification of civil procedure. Also basic directions of this tendency are listed. The author is considering in details the Draft of the resolution on the introduction of minimum standards for civil procedure of the EU. With reference to civil procedure in the Eurasian space, the article specifies the premises for possible unification and harmonization in this field. The article also shows practice of implementation of minimal standards, made by project of Resolutions of the European Parliament with the recommendations of the European Commission regarding the minimum standards of civil procedure; key directions and institutions of international and national mechanisms of convergence of procedural law in the Eurasian space, new approaches to integration in the post-Soviet space. The author gives critical analysis to available works of officials in this sphere, for instance, procedural guarantees (standards) developed by the European Court of Human Rights are not systemized and, moreover, they have different interpretations in the national legal systems.
